Well, today was "one of those days". Kaci had to be checked for a bladder infection at the doctor. Ever tried to get a urine sample from a toddler who is NOT potty trained? It's not fun. The nurse was amazed at how strong Kaci is! We were there for 2 1/2 hours! Luckily the test was negative though . . . last night Kaci wanted the DVD player from on top of the bookshelf and Jeremy was in the middle of something and said he couldn't get it for her. When she kept asking, he told her to "get it herself" thinking it would stall her a few minutes. Instead, of course, she said "ok" and immediately scaled the bookshelf. She was literally at the top pulling the DVD player down by the time Jeremy got from the couch to grab her (which was only about 2 steps away). She is such a monkey! I had to put a padalock on our fence to keep her in. Jeremy didn't believe me that she was getting out on her own. He was sure I was not latching it properly (the latch is on the other side of the door and you have to reach around to get it open). I cought her trying to get out after I put the padalock on. I sat there and spied on her to see how she had been escaping. She was climbing the fence and reaching over the top. She had totally figured out how to open it.
Yesterday, she "said the prayer" for the first time. It was so cute. She's done it on all the mealtime prayers since then, and she's really getting the hang of it.
Spencer is getting so big! He's nice and chunky! He's really sweet and just sits and stares at me until I look at him, then he smiles. Sometimes I'm busy doing somthing and get that feeling that someone is watching me and I look at him and he's just staring at me waiting to get my attention. He's a real momma's boy and I have to admit I like it! It's nice to be someone's "favorite" person in the whooooole world. :)
Well, gotta go get ready for Jeremy to come home from work for the weekend, Yeahhhhh!!

I wish there had been a picture or video to go with that story about Kaci getting out of the fence, (or on the shelf). What a little monkey she is! Can't wait to get my hands on those kids!
Isn't life crazy! I sounds like you have your hands full.
Little Monkey, it is so good to hear about the kids and what your clan is up to!
Hi Chelan,
Mikaela was here for dinner last night with Jeremy and she told me you started blogging. I just had to check it out for myself. Your kids are adorable. I wish mine came out with hair like Spencer's. Ashton had more hair than Xander, but it fell out. Anyway, they are really cute. Who would expect anything less? I added you to my friends and family list. Hopefully that is ok.
