My sweet Kaci . . .

So, my mouth has been swollen and very sore since the first half of my root canal a couple days ago. Yesterday Kaci was sitting on my lap and accidentally head butted me right in the bad tooth. Oh man, that hurt! I just kind of cringed and sat there catching my breath for a minute and she was watching me very concerned and obviously feeling bad but not knowing what to do. She said "oh honey! I'm so sorry!" . . . . "poor mommy". I reassured her that I was ok and I knew it was just an accident and we moved on. Then today while we were getting ready for the day, she said (out of the blue) "I'm sorry I bumped your mouth mommy". I couldn't believe she remember the incident and was still feeling bad about it a day later. It just confirms my belief that she is tender hearted and sensitive like me and reminds me of the great responsibility of protecting her and preparing her for the world. It scares me. But, it is wonderful to know that I am raising a person who genuinly cares about others (as long as they are not taking her toys of course).

So . . . I am about to lose my MIND! I know I say that often, but seriously I think Kaci is bi-polar and between her insanity and Spencer's illnesses . . . AAAAHHHHH!!

Luckily I have a wonderful husband who is taking good care of me. He stayed home from work until noon to let me sleep after my night in the emergancy room with Spencer.

So the REAL reason I wanted to do a post was to tell the story of Kaci and the tampon . . .
She found my suppy and pulled one out and opened it and said "oh! it's beautiful!!" She then wrapped the string around her wrist and has been wearing it as a bracelet for 2 days. :) hee hee . . . I know I know, it's really gross and Jeremy is NOT happy about it, but hey! If She's happy . . .

Poor Spencer had a fever around 105 and had to get a urine sample taken. Believe me, this is MUCH easier to do with a boy . . .

More pics at the wedding reception . . .

Finally . . . the "princess gown" revealed . . .

Dancing Queen . . . not afraid to be the only one on the dance floor.

"You keep running off, so now you have to sit with mommy for a few minutes . . . "

Lindsey's twins (Lindsey is the bride). I wish you could see them better, they looked beautiful! Kaci kept running off to hang with the "princesses". They were bending down to be at her level for the picture, but she was copying them and kept leaning down herself.

Torture . . . waiting for cupcakes . . .

Back on the dance floor . . .

Ok folks. Here it is. We went to a wedding reception and she was sooooo excited to go to the "princess party"! We had to drag her away from the wedding party all night. She was determined to be part of the main attraction.

Kaci and the Princess Gown

Today we did a little shopping looking for coats for the Utah trip. While browsing Kaci found a dress and decided it was hers. She carried it around the store showing it to anyone who would listen and said "see my princess gown?". She would not put it down (it's actually pretty cute) and was determined to take it home so I decided what the heck, since she never does stuff like that about clothes. She's very much a tomboy and never gives a hoot what I dress her in. So we bought it and I had to convince her to wait until we got home to put it on.
When we got home she couldn't wait to put it on, so I told her she could wear it for a few minutes until nap time. She twirled around and danced and asked for the Dora show with the princess so she could dance along with the songs (thank goodness for tivo).
The first words out of her mouth when she woke from her nap were "my PRINCESS gown!!". I told her she could put it on to show daddy when he gets home. A couple minutes later she walked out of her room with it on over her pj's saying "look! I did it myself!". It is so funny since she's never done anything like this before. As cute as it is, I hope it's a one time thing or I have something new to fight with her about . . . I'll post a pic of her with it on as soon as I find batteries for the camara.
